Nick Forrest, Director, babyHydro
Biography
Nick Forrest began working in renewable energy in 2006 following a career in journalism and environmental consultancy. He received a Masters Degree with distinction in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Edinburgh, and went on to develop the Hydrobot® hydro modelling tool. Nick used Hydrobot® to survey Scotland for the Scottish Government in 2008 and 2009, with SISTech and Black & Veatch.
Alongside development of Hydrobot® Nick has been conducting site visits and feasibility studies for 4 years. He is now a director of babyHydro, developing small hydro schemes from idea to operation.
babyHydro supports landowners and developers through every stage of creating electricity from running water.
