Biography

*Chartered Engineer Mechanical and Gas.  12 Years experience in the UK gas industry 1992 – 2004,  engineering design, construction and maintenance, author of technical standards.
*Founder of Depletion Scotland peak oil group 2003. 
*Organiser of first UK Peak Oil conference in 2004. Ongoing proactive peak oil awareness raising and action. *Depletion Scotland group coordinator.
*Diploma course in Permaculture and Sustainable Land Use 2005.
*Research proposals written with SISTech and Department of Petroleum Engineering at Heriot Watt University in 2006 relevant to peak oil, consequences and mitigation.
*Participation in Loch Tay Eco-village project 2007-2008.

*Mill of Carnousie project 2008- ongoing, sustainable land use and renewable energy project.
