Development of an Operating Framework for SUDS in South Dalmarnock
Project Summary
The general aim of this work was to investigate the options available to provide a co-ordinated approach to surface water management within highly urbanised areas. The project team coordinated discussions between the different stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial, collaborative solutions while working within the constraints of their legal responsibilities and revenue generating mechanisms.
This project focussed on the implementation of a regional SUDS scheme for the South Dalmarnock area in the East End of Glasgow. The team facilitated discussions among key stakeholders including Glasgow City Council, Clyde Gateway Partnership, Scottish Water and SEPA in order to draft an operating framework. This framework assisted in the delivery of SUDS in the area by detailing roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders during the development, construction and operating of SUDS in South Dalmarnock.
