Experience and Expertise

Sam Hawkins has a background in all aspects of sustainable development and related topics, such as energy technologies and water management.

Sam has worked on a number of projects since joining SISTech, including establishing a forum in the Borders region of Scotland enabling farmers and the rural community to cooperate in renewable energy projects; providing GIS support for water management projects and analysing waste return data for municipal waste recycling schemes in Scotland.

Before moving to SISTech he was a researcher at the Policy Studies Institute, and worked on projects related to energy modelling, integrated energy modelling and the economics of emerging energy technologies.
