Strategic Environmental Assessment for "The future of Flood Risk Management in Scotland"

Project Summary

This study was undertaken by a combined team from SISTech and MWH, with the added support from Enfusion. The work, commissioned by the Scottish Government, followed on from the development of a National Flooding Framework and the sustainable flood management proposals by the Flood Issues Advisory Committee. MWH has been providing ongoing support to the Scottish Government on updating the framework and preparing draft regulatory impact assessment. In accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act, the SEA was required of the proposals to define what environmental issues might impinge on the SFM proposals and if modifications or additions will be required.
