Experience and Expertise

Robin is a project manager with a scientific background in chemistry and physics. He manages a diverse range of projects. These include developing specifications for a civil infrastructure carbon accounting tool, waste reduction strategies, and energy project feasibility and environmental assessments. His expertise includes energy policy analysis, environmental standardisation, and technology innovation for sustainable development.

Robin gained an MSc in Science and Technology Policy and Management from the University of Edinburgh specialising in energy and environmental policies and technological innovation. His dissertation centred on recommendations for the reconciliation of standardisation with efforts to diversify UK renewable energy technologies. Prior to his Masters degree Robin worked for four years at the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington, working on the UK’s national facility of gas standards. There he developed novel analytical techniques for the measurement of trace volatile organic compounds, led collaborative research projects, and delivered high quality measurement services.
