Kimberley Pratt - Project Researcher

Experience and Expertise
Kimberley has recently joined SISTech as a Project Researcher. She is involved in a range of projects covering sustainable urban development, environmental legislation and transport issues. In a project for the Scottish Government, Kimberley used Cost Benefit Analysis to measure the environmental and health impacts of newly transcribed water regulations. Much of her work has been focused on the ISSUES Project, which was set up to ensure knowledge created by research into urban sustainability is understood and used by policy makers, practitioners and other end-users. Specifically, she is concerned with increasing our ability to transfer knowledge through learning from best case examples.
Prior to her time at SISTech, Kimberley was studying for an MSc in Environmental Protection and Management and a BA in Biological Sciences. She was also the Parliamentary Assistant with Friends of the Earth Scotland where she built up an understanding of environmental advocacy particularly within the context of Scottish policy making. Kimberley has worked with a wide range of NGOs and community groups as well as developing a scientific understanding of a wide range of sustainability issues. She is a published author within the field of environmental economics.
