Keith Baker - Project Researcher

Experience and Expertise
Keith Baker is a Project Researcher at SISTech. Since joining the
company his primary role has been with the ISSUES Project, which
is facilitating knowledge transfer from the EPSRC's Sustainable
Urban Environments (SUE) programme. The results of this work are
informing best practice in knowledge transfer to stakeholders, professional
bodies and wider audiences. During his PhD Keith was a member of
the CityForm SUE consortium and has additional experience in knowledge
transfer as a member of the Systems, Professional Users, Regulations,
Standards and Safety group within the UK Displays and Lighting Knowledge
Transfer Network. Keith has also worked on carbon footprinting and
assessing Scottish policy on climate change. In his spare time he
writes on e-waste policy and environmental impact of technology
for an electronics industry publication and is involved with science
communication activities relating to energy efficiency and renewable
energy.
Prior to joining SISTech Keith was a Research Assistant at De Montfort
University, where he completed his PhD in Domestic Energy Consumption.
This was followed by a short consultancy contract for a client developing
a method for recovering materials from liquid crystal displays.
Keith's first degree is in Environmental Science, with masters degrees
in Science and Technology Policy, and Display Technology, Systems
and Applications.
