Experience and Expertise

Kate Beckmann has a science and sustainability background, and spent the early years of her career working in education and development in Africa, India and the UK. Following this she worked in the water industry where she gained 10 years experience of working with businesses to reduce pollution and manage pollution risks, and in promoting waste minimisation and sustainability. Her experience with business and public sector clients includes managing project partnerships and stakeholder relationships at all levels; development and facilitation of workshops,  and project and research management.

Kate has managed projects across SISTech's portfolio, including sustainable travel, waste and resource management, engineering for ID and knowledge transfer work. Examples include projects for engineering institutions, a £500k travel behaviour change project (stepchange III) and currently a £1.3million project to support and enhance knowledge transfer from UK research relating to sustainability of the urban environment.
