Experience and Expertise

Kate Beckmann has a science and sustainability background, and spent the early years of her career working in education and development in Africa, India and the UK. More recently she has worked in the water industry where she gained 10 years experience of working with businesses to reduce pollution and manage pollution risks, and in promoting waste minimisation and sustainability. Her cumulative experience includes working with business; managing project partnerships and stakeholder relationships at all levels; workshop development and facilitation and project management.

Kate manages projects across SISTech's portfolio, including travel planning, waste and resource management and knowledge transfer work. Examples include projects for engineering institutions, a £500k travel behaviour change project (stepchange III) and currently a £1.3million project to support and enhance knowledge transfer from UK research relating to sustainability of the urban environment.
