The Changing Role of Structural Engineers in Society
Project Summary
This study, commissioned by The Institution of Structural Engineers,
assessed the implications of major changes in the construction industry
on the role of the structural engineer, and on the role of the institution
in supporting its members.
The study conducted in-depth interviews and workshops with high-level
structural engineers and others across the construction industry
to look at some of the drivers of change in construction, and the
likely implications for structural engineers.
