Development of Recycling and Utilisation of Construction and Demolition Waste

Project Summary

The main aim of the project was to bring about a step change in the management of construction & demolition waste. The project part funded by the European Commission's Northern Periphery Programme, was undertaken in partnership with researchers from Norway, Finland and Sweden and was centred on the sharing and dissemination of best practice between the partner countries. In Scotland, SISTech was responsible for delivering research on existing construction waste management practices and organising sustainable waste management awareness raising meetings.
