Experience and Expertise

Brian is a recent addition to the SISTech team who was brought in primarily to work in the ISSUES project, where his multi-disciplinary academic background and his versatility have been great assets. He holds an MSc in Ecological Economics and a BA in Politics, and this has enabled him to be a vital component in the ISSUES work that deals with sustainability research and its implications in policy making and in the private sector.

Brian’s key areas of expertise and interest involve understanding the social impacts of environmental degradation and legislation. He has a great knowledge of policy-making matters as well as concepts that bring together ecological and social factors such as environmental justice and fuel poverty. His ecological studies have given him the capacity to apply these concepts to specific environmental issues, particularly to renewable energy and air pollution.
