Active Leith Project, Edinburgh
Project Summary
Active Leith is a community-led project led that aims to drive a shift towards more sustainable means of transport in order to reduce transport related carbon emissions in Leith by 15%. The project will take place over two years and is based upon a broad community involvement process that will identify the key barriers to sustainable transport for the community, and will develop materials and events to encourage more of the community to opt for active modes of travel (walking and cycling) and public transport.
SISTech is providing specialist training within this project by developing and delivering training packs for the various 'Travel Champions' of the project. SISTech is also responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of this two year project including the carbon assessment element of the project.
